WEST COAST WOMEN

March for Science | Drawing Sessions

Saturday and Sunday, April 22-23, 11am–1pm

StoreFrontLab #Action is pleased to host West Coast Women, the collective of women behind the Unite and Lady Liberty bandanas, for two days of creative activism. Inspired by the 2017 Women’s March, these collaboratively crafted bandanas have raised more than $1800 for SF Homeless Prenatal Program and $800 for immigrant legal aid.

This weekend West Coast Women is crowd sourcing drawings for its next bandana advocating for Facts and Science and offering bandana’s for purchase. If you can’t make it, lend your support by ordering your bandanas online.

Saturday, April 22, 11am–1pm: Justin Herman Plaza
MARCH FOR SCIENCE

Stop by our public drawing session at the rally before we march down Market Street. Here are some prompts: Why are facts important? What does environmentalism mean today? How have facts been denied in the face of the existential threat of climate change?  What does lying look like?

Sunday, April 23, 11am–1pm: Storefront Lab
DRAWING SESSION
Join your fellow west coast women and men for a post-march drawing session about facts and science (see above). We will have a pop-up exhibition of West Coast Women bandanas and rough sketches for added inspiration. See how your drawings made it from a post-it to a piece of art.
