The lagoon’s connection to the Mission Creek estuary and San Franciso Bay, made its shores prime land for the burgeoning industries of the late 1800s, in particular woolen mills and tanneries. Learn how this collision of nature and commerce led to the lagoon’s demise and continues to unfold today.
